Smallmouth Bass Fishing in West Virginia
The
New River Gorge National River offers 53 miles of world-class smallmouth
bass fishing. The New River has long been rated as one of the top ten
smallmouth bass fishing rivers in the country. Twelve miles of the New
River have been designated as catch and release smallmouth bass fishing.
Once started down the river you can tell instantly that youve come
to a very unique place. The New River has an unusual northerly flow and
is estimated to be one of the oldest rivers in North America. Large sandstone
boulders, deep pools, swift runs and steep canyon walls up to 1,000
are what youll find here. The abundance of New River smallmouth
bass is due in part to the inaccessibility of the New River Gorge and
the success of catch and release fishing. Our professional guides, quality
equipment and extensive knowledge of the New River will ensure a safe
and memorable trip.

Overnight Smallmouth Bass Fishing Trip:
If you really want a chance to relax and enjoy the beauty of the New River
then two or three days are better than one. Day one is spent pursuing
New River smallies until your appetite cant take it anymore. Then
its time to head to the riverside camp for relaxation and a feast.
We have a designated gear boat and gear boater that sets up
the camp long before we arrive. When we hit the beach your tent with sleeping
cots are set up and your dry gear is waiting for you. Once you settle
in, a superb steak dinner
with all the trimmings like salad, corn on the cob, baked potato, hot
bread and of course dessert will be prepared to perfection. The next morning
youll wake up to the smell of fresh coffee and the splendor of the
river. We prepare a large breakfast that includes eggs, bacon, sausage,
biscuits, cereal, orange juice, milk and cinnamon apples. Soon after breakfast
youre on your way for another spectacular day of fishing on the
New. We can do float trips up to five days. Our most popular trips are
our two and three day trips. All meals, drinks, tackle and transportation
provided. Overnight trips can be booked for up to 5 days; Personal sleeping
bag is required.
